I have the software for a couple of weeks for my IC9700 (fw 1.24). My next task is to try and get digital modes working.
One pointing to the host PC connected to the 7300, the other pointing to the server embedded within the 9700.Īll this before we even fire up the RS-BA1 Remote Control SW. The Client PC needs the Icom Remote Utility SW setup and configured. The IC9700 does not require the Icom Remote Utility software. On the host PC connected to the 7300, the Icom Remote Utility is running 24/7 with the Radio List populated with the 7300. I also have a 9700 which has a built in server and therefore does not need the host. A PC needs to be running next to the radio if you want remote access. A host computer is tied up with the USB connectivity to that radio if remote access is required. (Stability) In other respects it is seriously lacking. The cost of the software should include at least 3 major software upgrades in my opinion. I like the summary from KA1YBS and also the comments from ON7WP. If anyone needs help configuring it, You can email me and we can set up a meeting. but you just have to connect remotely with the server with TEAMVIEWER. The only thing I wish you could do was digital mode. then on your remote computer I select the USB headset and microphone. But for remote operation just select the ICOM virtual USB audio drivers. The sound card setting are by far the trickiest.
#Rs ba1 license key manual
I did not use the manual to get it to work. I use a logitech headset and it works great. Once you are familiar with the the operation, then try to connect remotely. Fist just get the software to work on your desktop or laptop. To get it to work, do it in sections for instance. I have read several reviews here and I have none of the experiences that I read. Things to make this software better: add more functionality to emulate the rig itself. All software has limitations, due to coding, but this software works much better then other software I have tried. While it did at first take some time to figure out the wifi settings, router configuration etc.since I am not an IT guy but with the assistance of Greg from Icom, he walked me thru the settings, explained what was what and was very knowledgeable in setups and configuration. I have connected a FiFine usb desk mic on the one pc, and get awesome transmit reproduction. I use 5Ghz wifi thru the house, and the response is spot on. While the software lacks some of the features found on the radio itself, the software does what it was designed to do.allow remote access to the majority functions of the radio.
I have the V2 version installed on several pc's, tablet, and laptop.
